Why we need your consent

When you register as a client of Nourish Paediatrics, you provide consent for your Accredited Dietitian to collect and use your information so we can deliver safe, effective, and personalised care. Only team members who need to see your information will access it. If we need to use your information for anything beyond your care, we will always ask for your consent first.

Why we collect, use, hold and share your information

We collect personal information to:

  • Provide nutrition and dietetic care to you (or your child).

  • Support your training, recovery, health and wellbeing.

  • Manage bookings, payments, and Medicare/health fund claims (if applicable).

  • Comply with professional and legal requirements.

  • Improve the quality of our services and client experience.

What personal information we collect

The types of personal information we may collect include:

  • Name, date of birth, contact details, address.

  • Health information such as medical history, medications, allergies, growth and development (for children), lifestyle factors, and nutrition-related concerns.

  • Medicare number, private health fund details, or NDIS number (where applicable).

  • Names and contact details of your GP, specialist, coach, or other health professionals involved in your care.

How we collect information

We collect information when you:

  • Register as a client and complete intake forms.

  • Attend consultations (in-person or via telehealth).

  • Communicate with us by phone, email, SMS, or online booking system.

  • Participate in workshops, presentations, or group services.

Sometimes, we may also collect information from third parties if you provide consent — for example, your GP, coach, hospital, or other healthcare provider.

When and with whom we share your information

We will not share your information without your consent unless required by law.

We may share your information with:

  • Other healthcare providers involved in your care.

  • Medicare, health funds, NDIS, or regulatory authorities (if required).

  • When required to lessen or prevent a serious threat to your health or safety, or that of the public.

We will never sell your personal information or share it for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

How we store and protect your information

Your personal information is stored securely in electronic form using SPLOSE software which is password-protected and meets Australian privacy standards. Only authorised staff can access your records.
